New Mustard Disc Sander and Questions

I placed an order for a discontinued Powermatic 12" disc sander from CPO for half price. It's all together and seems to spin well. Just a couple of very simple questions. Where would one purchase 12" discs for this sander? How does one attach them? The manual says to use a putty knife to scrape them off. Doesn't another option exist better than this? Thanks for your input.

At the price CPO/Tyler tool is selling this, I would have paid nearly as much for the Jet 1 HP bench top sander.

The putty knife or a scraper is your best option

I thought for some reason that some discs could be removed and reapplied later. Guess that's incorrect.

When replacing disks I first use a hair dryer to soften up the adhesive then slowly peel back the paper. Sometimes it works great and sometimes it will leave some glue. I use Goof Off to remove any left glue. To reinstall, peel back the adhesive cover half way and carefully line it up and attach it to the disk, rotate the disk and pull the cover the rest of the way off.

Rich, check out Klingspore. I have an older PM 30 and this is where I got mine. I find the cloth backed comes off easiest.

For $20 and change Shopsmith has a kit to make it use velcro type paper. Might be worth a look. They would be much more reusable.
