Thanks to our late snow storm I have had to remove some downed limbs from a White Pine tree, some pieces up to seven inches in diameter. I threw a few pieces in the truck while clearing my wifes business driveway and stacked the rest. Looking for advice on turning this wood, turn fresh or wait for it to dry or don't bother. I can go back and pick up more if it is good wood or if not I will get rid of it. Thanks for helping out a new turner, Jim.

Don't bother. Get some green hardwood.

You could always use some for practice, if you wanted to. It will be messy though, pitch will get on everything. Just my opinion............Tim.

I figured the price was right but on the other hand you get what you pay for. I looked at the pieces I tossed in my truck and the cut ends are just dripping with pitch. Think it will get tossed, Jim.
