View Full Version : Cherry inside green outside.

This is a 8" x 4" high cherry bowl. inside is natural and outside dyed with green and sanded back slightly dyed yellow. Finish is Minwax antique oil 8 coats, Beal buffed. Comments welcome!

Wasn't sure I'd like this from the title, but it is really neat. The color and finish work for me. What type of dye did you use?

I used the artisan dyes ,I diluted them 1 to 1 . This is a alcohol dye. Works well!

I really like this as well. I don't use usually use dyes, but based on how nice your bowl looks, I need to start using them more!

I really like that concept you have there. I hope you take this the right way but there is a watermelon color scheme there that really works with the cherry. I could see them being a hit in stores that cater to up market craft folks.

George - this really looks good! Watch out using dyes though, it can become addictive!! Have fun!
