What do you use for the 1.5" hose that SS needs for the dust port on the guard?
I have seen small hoses that have 1.5" fittings on one side and 1" on the other for $20.

Is that about it, or is there something better (bigger) available?

A hose that came with my Dyson Canister fits, but if I used that I couldn't use my vacuum.

I'm not sure if this will help, I had to find a 1 1/2" hose to attach to my Triton Router's chip collector. I went to a vacuum cleaner place in Albany (Lexington Vacuum) and they sold me a 1 1/2" vacuum cleaner hose ($10). I cut off the two ends and it worked fine.

Not sure if it will work with your application, but when I needed 1 1/2" hose to hook up to a radial arm saw blade guard, I found swimming pool pump hose (for sale by the foot) at Lowe's that worked great.

I used 2" and a reducer at the guard. Works fine. The reducer also acts as a quick-connect, although that wasn't the original intention.

I found hose at a pool supply shop at $3/ft. I guess 5' will be enough.

I am tempted to try 2" though; it should draw a bit better.

I use a non A/S 36 Feestool hose that came with a floor cleaning set. I cut it in half and it fits perfect and hooks directly to a dedicated vac that I also use for my router table with the other half.
