I found this seller through another thread and was surprised by the price, is this too good to be true?

Thanks!

190 CFM is pretty low. It's designed to remove the smell from growing pot, not extracting fumes from a laser. I think you'll find the filter would clog pretty quickly when you start throwing soot and other particulates from engraving instead of the smell of their pot plants.

So bottom line, it's not that it's too good to be true, it's just not suited for what you need.

They have a 6" version that is rated 370 cfm and an 8" version rated at 745 cfm. The filter canister on that 8" one has a 2" thick layer of carbon in a 24" cylinder with 12" outer and 8" inner diameter. That's more than 4 sq feet, just over 600 square inches, 2" thick.

If memory serves, at least a couple of people have posted here about using either the 6" or 8" version with their lasers.

I see, I guess when the time is right, I will look more into the 6" and 8", thanks!
