What the heck is this?

About 8" long. It's a small hammer and nail puller but why the scooped side on the handle?

Seems like it was made for a very specific purpose.

Anybody know?

Sorry don't know for sure, but a guess would be a hammer used for glass install like glazing maybe.

Seems like a demo tool, they sell similar ones. The scoop is probably just a way to save material while maintaining strength.
