I've been woodless for quite some time and being out of town on business for 10 of the last 11 weeks hasn't helped matters either. Today, I bought some cherry burl and crotch as well as a piece of elm and a piece of apple. For a size comparison, there's about 7' of bed showing not counting the tail gate and 4' between the wheel wells.

It should keep me busy for a couple of weekends.

Any suggestions as to how I should cut this up will be appreciated.

btw, $90 for the load.

Yep, that should keep you busy. Looking forward to some pictures from it.

Bill , I would also be interested in some-ones suggestions as to how to cut up the burl section . I also had a burl fest about 2 weeks ago and am not sure how to get the most out of the burls.See "wood gloat of nthe day"

But anyway great catch.

Me too! I copped a couple of small cherry burls from the landscapers burn pile, but I don't have a clue how to turn them.
