I am in the midst of building a shop. Well, an alledged shop because I have no pictures to post just yet.
Anyhow, I got creative in deciding that I wanted 10 foot ceilings. When I got a good deal on some high bay lighting, 23" tall, I moved the ceiling to 12 feet so that I would not lose the original ceiling height.
The other day, it dawned on me that I should consider the extra space overhead as a form of potential storage space. I was thinking about the usual shelving along the walls, 8 or 10 feet up, maybe a cabinet or two. I wonder if anyone else has some ideas to share.
The shop is 24 x 28 with 12 foot ceilings. I have the roof on and the siding goes up on Tuesday.
The layout of the shop is still fluid. The only limitation is the location of the manifold for the hydronic radiant heating system.
