Sorry to hear that, Ray. I can identify. My wife had a mild heart attack last summer--an arterial dissection in the circumflex coronary artery that caused a clot. She was the picture of health when it happened--low cholesterol, low BP, extremely fit, ate very healthy foods and in her late 30s. It took the docs almost 48 hours to even positively diagnose it, but once they did, she was bumped to the top of the list for an angiogram and subsequently two stents were placed during that surgery.

I hope your wife recovers quickly--those blood thinners and statins will help, but activity would be the best help, particularly walking, as much as she can handle.

As other have said
Thoughts and prayers.

My wife has a good friend who manages an Assisted Living complex ~ 150 residents.
It's a cultural shift, aging population, need professional health care.
Major change from generations ago, when elders stayed home.
Doesn't work now.
Go with the flow.

thanks Tom, the nursing home decision will need to be made by her daughters since they will be the main visitors
