I downloaded one of the checkering patterns from here. When I load it to my laser it takes 45 mins to load. Is this normal or is there a problem. None of my corel programs take more then a min or 2 to load. I run win 7 on a pretty fast computer .:(

Sounds funny to me. Have you made any of your own checkering using postscript fill? Pretty easy and can be modified to incorporate initials, flourishes, etc.

It take a while on our Epilog, but not that long. Can you rasterize the art and resend it?

Post a link to that file and I'll see how long it takes for me.

Maybe its a issue of the model of your laser ? I have had very large files loaded on my Epilog , And i think the longest i have waited is about 2 min at the most. Make sure u check the manufacturer specs on what kind of cable u can use. I know on my epilog u can use 2 diffrent kinds of cable's. The usb is slower. The Internet Cable is faster. U also do not have to guy purchase a large high speed 24k gold plated diamond encrusted cable. Consumer reports say that mostly if they are a brand name they are the same.

45 minutes is much too long... the checkering from Epilog takes less than a 30 seconds. I have made 5 more checkering patterns (both 2D and 3D) and non of them take longer than 30 seconds to load...

OK I kinda figure out the post scrip fill but when I send it to laser the pattern is all black. If I try to adjust it it just turns all white. I can't get pattern to come out. I'm using the basketweave. any ideas?
