This one come out of a piece of Box Elder burl that was old and weathered. The weathering gave it a few extra colors along with a few cracks and other natural defects. It's 6.5" x 4.5" and finished with just a single heavy coat of Antique Oil. Then I hit it with some 0000 steel wool to take off any places where it shined. I wanted a soft flat finish to go with the rough wood.

Very nice wood, work, and finish. I bet it is wonderfully smooth feeling.
