I have made many of these type of drawers but always looking to improve on quality and speed. I have 11 drawer boxes to build. I used 1/2" BB for the boxes and 1/4" maple ply for the bottoms. Since there will not be much relative movement I was wondering if I could glue the joints, square it up, and shoot some pins or brads into the drawer bottom instead of using a bunch of clamps.
Thanks,
Mike

I use maple for my boxes and a 3/8 Baltic birch for the bottoms.I Use a leigh jig and with a snug fir just apply glue to the tails and tap them together.I do not apply glue in the sockets as it can result in not be able to get a tight fit due to the glue filling the socket. I use no clamps.I measure diagonally to ensure they are square.

Hot hide glue would let you glue each one up in a couple of minutes. Lack of clamp pressure would be no big deal and the drawers would be easily repairable in the future.
