I've seen it done using a cutoff wheel in a 4" angle grinder. After cutting the edges were deburred with a file. Went pretty quick.

Several options

1. Offset aviation snips
2. Sawzall with 18tpi bimetal blade
3. Jigsaw with metal blade
4. Kett 18ga. double cuts

After you cut through the seam watch out for the vicious fish hook that is left

Jigsaw (Festool of course) with a metal blade, then a quick cleanup with a file. I clamped the pipe when cutting it. Everything worked quickly and well.

I work with that spiral pipe all day long.
Sawzall, fullface protection, gloves and hearing protection,WHAT DID YOU SAY?, I have lost about 50% of my hearing from the construction work I do. After it is cut take a file to it and clean up the rough edges.

Yes, that is definately a requirement. More than once I have had metal chips hit my (protective :) ) glasses.

Use a Jigsaw! It'll provide the cleanest cut, and the safest process.
