I set up my camera this evening, so will post a few pictures. This bowl is 12" diameter and 5" high. The finish is Minwax Wipe on Poly. It had been rough turned a year or more ago and sealed with Anchor-seal. Pecan rough-outs will usually dry OK in my area with just brown paper wrapping but I have plenty of rough-outs so drying time is not a concern; the Anchor seal removes any concern about cracking. In this case the Anchor seal also allowed the spalting process to continue after the blank was roughed out.
Comments and critiques welcome.

Like the form on that one, I bet the pecan was pretty hard, the finish looks great.

Dennis,
Exceptional shape, fine wood, great finish and I love the foot. It gives the bowl lift. Calabash are my favorites and this one catches my eye.
