Very cool and unique turning! I like it. Now, I gotta ask, what is planetree?

You are way outside the box, Lionel.... Good imagination. I stared at that for 10 minutes before coming up with my lame reply. Good job, and please, keep it going. ...... ....Jerry (in Tucson).

I like it but not sure what it is. I doubt I will try one, don't have a death wish.

Definitely different, but appealing piece that I would put on display in my home. Makes me wonder were your ideas come from. I do not believe that anything that you have posted has not been appreciated by me.

Lionel, I love the piece and you've inspired me to try turning offset non-cylindrical wood blanks.
Thanks!

Plane tree is a hybrid of the American and oriental/eastern Europe Sycamore.

Very neat tea pot, if you add a handle.

Great concept for turning the pieces, I guess it stayed out of balance the entire time with the spout.

Would you think of carving out the spout a bit more to provide a more realistic sense that the spout worked, or do you have other plans for it?

I am very impressed by your skills. The technical difficulty of this piece is way up there.

As amazing as ever Lionel. Thanks for the in progress pics especially. It gives some idea how such a thing was created!
