I continue to look for airbrush opportunities in my turnings. I also enjoy experimenting with off center turning. This one I also threw in some power carving. The results are a mixed bag of effects that were fun to do. It's nice to deviate from the bowl and hollow form routine once in awhile.

The disc is poplar ~ 12", top coat is lacquer.

Comments are welcomed.

Not really my cup of tea but this piece does look nice. Good mix of styles and colors....

i like your concept and the turning and carving....not much on the airbrush colors, wonder how some tiger maple would look with your concept and dyed instead of airbrush

keep experimenting, do what you like.....its interesting

Very nice. I like the combinations of colors and the carving is a very nice augmentation.

Definitely some "out-side-the-box" turning. A nice respite from the more traditional pieces. Very nice execution.
