Hey all,

So I've been turning about 5 years now and started turning on a Ridgid WL1200. Then I bought a Jet 1014. I sold that when I bought a Jet 1236. It seemed like every couple of years I was upgrading (if you could call it that). Yesterday a truck pull up and dropped off a box from Powermatic. Inside the box was a brand new 3520B. This was the lathe that I had been drooling over for a few years and kept telling my wife that the 3520 was what I was saving my pennies for. I don't think I'll be upgrading any time soon!

Before:
255235

After:

255236

Hopefully I'll be able to try it out tomorrow!:D

Welcome to the world of Mustard. I started with a Jet 1012 then a 1442...and then a 3520b. No regrets.

Congratulations. I did not have the Ridgid experience, but did also have a Jet 1014VS along the way to the Mustard Monster beetween the 1014 and 1236. I know I am happy with mine now for the last 5+ years. It has done everything I have asked it to do. Now you need to get some larger tools and accessories.

Wow, that thing is solid. I don't even want to know what something like that costs!

Can you send me that hand wheel you made for the old one? :-). I need to get around to making one like that.

Thanks for all the comments. While my Jet 1236 was serviceable it seemed like anytime I tried to turn anything over 8" in diameter, the lathe would just bog down. It was pretty frustrating because I have a good stash of wood and I wasn't able to utilize it. Now I won't have that problem!:)
