Thought I'd tag along and be nosy about what are your most used molding planes and why?
My personal experience (limited) has been that molding planes are that 3rd tier wood working tool that we get into acquiring and using. With first tier being basic bench planes and chisels. Second tier saws and specialty planes.
My personal used ones are the side beads, 1/2 inch dado and cove molding planes -
I had a set of H/Rs but I sold them. I found owning that set was overwhelming and since pairing down and only buying what I need, I am enjoying them more.
so what's your story?
