New Planer

I did buy the Dewalt 735 on sale with in feed and out feed tables and a set of blades for $492. I know it wont solve the tear out problems, but the little bit that I used it tonight, it made a difference. I have to connect my dust collector yet....it sure throws the chips. I was thinking about disconnecting the fan because I have a good cylcone.

Why unhook the fan? The fan and cyclone dont work together? Surely its not a case of noise - you bought the loudest style planer you could.

Keep the fan in it.

Noise of the planer doesnt matter with my cyclone. It is louder than everything in the shop.
