The only thing that sucks is the shipping cost of $79 since they are to far to drive.

Since it is going in my basement:

Is this packaged in a few pieces on a pallet, and what is the heaviest piece that I would have to carry?

I just bought the G0452Z last week. Total shipping weight was 268 pounds as opposed to the 240 for the 0654. It came in two boxes, neither of which is an easy carry. They used a fork lift to put it in my truck and I used a hand truck to move it around and into the shop. It definitely takes two people to put the head table on to the base. You should also know that there is more assembly on the 0654.

According to the video on their website http://www.grizzly.com/products/6-x-46-Jointer/G0654 it comes in one box that is 48"l x 16"H x 22-1/2"D It weights about 240 lbs. Should be easy to move on a hand truck.
