Which Grizzly 20" PLANNER

i WAS TRYING TO DECIDE BETWEEN THE g0454z AND the G1033x. The G1033x seems sturdier. The comparison video on the Grizzly site states it has their best cutterhead. Looks like a BYRD with only four rows. The head seems to be discontinued. Will it be hard to get cutters in the future. Cutters ar radiused 15x15x2.5 like the byrd.

Does anyone have it? Is it worth getting over the G0454z?

I have a G0454. Suits me just fine. I looked at both of them on the show room floor prior to the purchase and I couldn't really see much of a difference between the 1033 and the 454, at least not enough to justify the price difference.

No direct experience however.....are you doing this as a hobby? If so you'll probably never wear out all 4 sides of the inserts:) Now I would imagine if you dig around a little you can likely find the inserts available as I'm sure they just copied/borrowed someone else's....like Byrd's?:rolleyes:
