Something different for this little piece of box elder. Initially planned to do some pyro but decided to try the fountain pen instead. Before drawing on it I sealed it with sanding sealer and sanded back lightly. I was surprised how well the ink took to the finish. I top coated with spray lacquer.
Gave it to my main squeeze, points earned.

Bill that is really neat. It looks like you used some kind of stain on the outside.

Bill, that looks really nice, never would have thought of that, a great embellishment.

That is very nice. I envy those that can draw or burn something like this, very well done.

Bill, this is a lovely piece and it opens up many possibilities I'm sure. I've still not forgot plans to get together...hopefully when spring hits I can get LOML to take a drive up!

Thanks all for the comments.
Fred - no stain, just ink and lacquer.
Tim - let me know when you come out of hibernation;)
