Hi all -
My DC setup - Delta 50-850 - is a disaster.
Has anyone bought AFF bags for their DC?
Mind letting me know the pluses and the minuses of your bag?
Gotta move on this pronto.
Thank you.
Howard

AFF has an excellent reputation and unlike many suppliers, will also custom make the bags for size that will fit into your space. In other words, if you have a low ceiling, they can do a fatter, yet shorter upper filter bag that is large enough to flow the amount of air you need in total so you can use a solid collection bag/bin on the bottom for easier disposal.

As you've found out, the stock bags on many of these DC systems are "not very good"...

the upper bag's filtration capabilities leave alot to be desired.
That's why I've gone in a coupla directions of mods on my DC.

I have AFF bags on a couple different collectors and they really increase the performance while pretty much eliminating dust blowthru.

I bought a bag for my Delta 850 and it works very well. AF recommended I put a disposable plastic bag on the bottom and an oversize filter bag on top. They asked for the height of my ceiling and made the bag to fit that. Nice people to deal with and a good product. I usually reuse the disposable bags many times and just dump them for a mulch walkway in my backyard.

They come highly recommended by my wife. I have a walk out basement shop. The bags reduced the airborn dust signficantly keeping the dusting in the house and "whine" level down to a minimum. Good people to deal with, friendly- courteous.

I buy disposable bags from them for my portable Jet, and they are 1/3 the price of the Jet bags. Nice folks.

I have extra tall AFF bags on the collector I have for sale in the classifieds and they are awesome. They stop virtually all fine dust from escaping while causing no backpressure. Of course, the cyclone I have in front of them stops 99%+ of the fine dust.

If you want to try one I have one that is sitting in my shop that is no longer in use. I upgraded to a Wynn filter and the bag is just sitting there collecting dust. Attached is a link to the classifieds add.
