If you are purchasing the CBN wheels for a newly purchased WoodCraft slow speed grinder be sure to measure the shaft length as it needs to a minimum of 2 1/4". The new grinders appear to have a 2" length shaft. If it is 2" give Dave a call at DWay before you order as he can furnish, a special counter bored bushing that will allow the wheel to be properly installed. The bushing is not listed on the website. The 2 1/4 dimension is on his website and is mentioned in his video, If you already have the bushing and see the problem, Dave is very customer service orientated and will work something out.

It is a good idea to verify the 2 1/4 dimension for any grinder.

Try a shorter nut. http://www.mcmaster.com/#half-height-nuts/=lhbcpl

Might need a thinner washer too. The risk of that wheel walking off the shaft is sooooo slight...

Dave @ DWay tools modifies the bushing for short shaft grinders by drilling a counterbore in the flanged end of the bushing. Dave said that he clamps the bushing in a drill press vice and uses the appropriate sized bit for the clearance. If the user had the equipment they could do it also. Dave said that there are many configurations of shaft sizes and it is difficult to stock bushings for each configuration. He has already got a couple of calls re the new WoodCraft grinder short shaft.
