I got the laguna suv and love it and am amazed at how thin I can get. For me the key was not pressing the wood against the fence with my hands like i see in all the google images but to use stacked featherboards which provide constant pressure at all times so when I reposition myself at all, it is not reflected in a bumpy area in the slice.
So far the tallest thing I have found that can keep the stock against the fence is a 4 featherboard stack by shopsmith and used on stock up to 6inches tall. I want something much taller since I have a resaw height of 14 inches. I tried making something myself and failed miserably. I'd like to see what others have come up with.
thanks
