Can someone help me calculate CPI (cuts per inch) on a wood planer that has a feed rate of 13 feet per minute and a cutter head speed of 14,400 cuts per minute. I used to know the formula but haven't used it in years.

Thank you

156" / min of feed (13x12") divide that into rpm x number of knives on the head

Comes out to 92.3?

I also come up with 92.3 cuts/inch:

14,400 cuts per minute divided by 156" per minute feed rate.

Figure it out for yourself, change variables as needed, thanks to OWWM (http://vintagemachinery.org/math/cpm.aspx).
