Today I finished the bottom, did some touchups on sanding, wet sanded with DO and then applied another generous coat of DO and let it soak in for about 20 minutes before wiping off the excess. I will keep applying DO, letting it cure between coats, until I have the level of finish I'm looking for and then I'll buff it out.
It's about 14" at the widest and about 4" tall.
This wood was very hard and it was hard to get clean cuts, especially on the endgrain, so the shape isn't exactly what I envisioned, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
