Nice.
I especially like the 'Lazy Suzan' never heard of that word before.
Pray do tell what is the red parts in the board?

Since it was my first stab at a weave project I didn’t use much of my “good” wood. The weave strips are some cheap poplar that I had left over from a router table cabinet build. The edge strips that look red are actually purpleheart. The background squares are leftover from another project, I think it was tigerwood or something. I forget because the wood for the project was provided by the person who requested the project (a slab lazy susan).

Thanks Floyd, it's actually not inlay, it's built by piecing together (like a jigsaw puzzle) two main components; the "weave" strips and the background squares. The weave strips are made of 3 pieces glued up beforehand, they are the main wood (the poplar) and the thin sides (the purple heart). Then background squares are just that, squares of wood.

There is a GREAT turorial on how to do it, here is a link if you're interested: http://lumberjocks.com/degoose/blog/series/4167
