I have an Epilog Mini 18 30w that I've been playing with since I set it up a few weeks ago. Things are going ok for the most part, but my vector acrylic edges have been coming out notched, and I can't seem to figure out why. It's on the bottom side; could it be the vector table somehow reflecting where it touches? Has anyone had this problem? I'm using ~15-20/100/5000 with air assist.

Lea what you have is laser reflected bounce back caused when the laserbeam hits the metal grid that you hold your material on. It reflects back and for a split second continues to cut, except this time it is from the bottom upwards. Get a few golf tees and put them underneath the acrylic where you are definitely not going to be cutting through and it will stop it, a few strategically placed coins will also do the same thing, provided that they are not in line with the laserbeam..

Awesome. I'm glad it's something so simple. Thanks for the help!

Frank is right but you may also be using more power than necessary.
