I have been arm-twisted into building a table for the foyer of our new church building. It is meant to direct people traffic into the foyer and away from rushing out the doors after services.
Here are the particulars........
Shape......5' x 9' oval or 6' round.
Wood......We have birch finish doors, so I should probably match to them...or at least try. I have on hand some elm, soft maple, red oak, and blue stain pine. I could also use black walnut as a contrast wood.
Contemporary style.....(not modern). Kinda "Moseresque", with clean, simple lines. Not Mission or Country.
I am looking for any and all ideas.....pictures of completed projects, or even a "you have just gone off your nut, Arnie" comment or two.
Oh......they want it by July 1st. I told them God took six days to create a perfect earth, and I am not God, and by the way......I am also not perfect :D .
Any and all input is extremely welcome and appreciated. Thanks!
