If you look, you'll see rings indicating that these items were turned....... Jerry (in Tucson)

Hi Charlie: I'm probably with the rest of the folks in not understanding your vision. Maybe if you have time, could you give us the low-down on what you are expressing, and how this came to be?

Montgomery, the cherry was turned on 4 axis, was not sanded, thanks for looking

Jerry and Al, thanks for looking and commenting

Michelle, i visited St. Augustine while attending the Hokies bowl game over the holidays
this is just a combo portrait/landscape
in a gallery classification it would be multi-media
turning, carving, burning, drawing, color added

the spiral at bottom with the two arcs making the x, could be a time warp......and then there is the star
but the viewer will have to decide what if anything it means to them

thanks for looking

Michelle, the star....have you ever wished upon a star....i imagine the experience is much the same thoughout the ages......if you are the new guy, and have been given the duty, no moon, just the stars, and you wish upon a star, to get though the watch without anything happening......that's where i got The Sentinel ......
