New plane pics

As promised, here are pics of my new planes, a type 6a Bedrock 606 and a Sarge 409. The 606 has the original rosewood handles and it is some nice grained stuff.

I like keeping my bench in season!:cool: No, its actually the kitchen table. I paid $130 for the 606 and $25 for the 409, I guess thats ok prices, but I like em anyway.

You know, them #6 sized planes are about as useless a size as one could get. So why don't you just box that one up and send it my way. I'll tell you what, since I'm feeling generous today, I'll even kick in the shipping. :)

Let me guess, the 409 is a junk plane too:D I'll just send it right along with the bedrock.

Anyway, I had my mind set on a #6, because its a nice all around plane, it is close enough to a jack for rough work and big enough to be a jointer.

Just ordered a new iron for the 606, the one on it had about a 10 degree bevel on the blade and had maybe a 1/2" of life left. So, a new Spehar Toolworks blade is on its way:)
