Received an email today regarding a new version of this jig. It offers it for $69. I checked and this model is only for making 1/4" or 3/8" mortises. The bigger catch is it only can make them 7/8" long. The larger model will do 1/4" to 1/2" wide mortises up to 3' long up to two inch center, much more usable. The larger model is $199. It comes with the 3/8" bit and guide bearing but can be upgraded to be capable of 1/4" and 1/2' wide mortises.

Is this a better jig than the Rocker offering? Any one have one of the prior models and what are your opinions of it? is it worth adding to the shop? I have a mortise attachment for my drill press.
