I've seen a lot lately on the new Craftsman 22124. One of the features it has is a flip up outfeed extension. This is a great idea, but I wonder about the size of it. It seems pretty small. For those of you with one of these saws, can a larger board be attached to the extension to make it wider and longer and still flip up-able?

Thanks

Dan, so far the table has been large enough for what I'm doing. If you handled a lot of large sheet goods, you would want something more. It would be easy to use the hinges and support bracket that they provide and attach a much larger table of your own.

Mine came with a pretty small outfeed extension as well. For anything under about 4 feet, it works great! Mine is flip up, but it is about the same size.

Sounds bigger than I thought. That is good news since most of what I'd use the saw for is smaller stuff (non-sheet goods).

I was ripping 5/4 x 13" x 7' boards on mine this past weekend and the flip-up outfeed table worked very well.
