Here are some bowls from a fairly large tree that i cut down recently. Also a couple of spalted silver leaf maple.

Nice! My favorite is the Spalted silver maple. The wood is really wonderful, and I love the form. I'm glad to see there are others out there who like their bowls tall.

Dennis, I used a parting tool to cut a grouve 3/16" deep and filled it with black epoxy and brass filings.

Prashun, As you can see somewhat there are a lot of worm holes filled wiyh epoxy. I have several pieces of this but some too far gone.
Real nice spalting, hated not to do something with it.

Brian, I made it with a 1/8" parting tool. I also have 13" bowl cut from the stump o this tree. I will post it when i finish it.

Great looking bowls. I do like that rim with the black epoxy and brass.
