Anyone have any thoughts on this planer that now has real carbide inserts?

I saw a Chicago CL ad recently that had some SC tools on clearence including this planer. YMMV if they will ship them. Maybe it will save you some coin.

It is a lunchbox planer with carbide inserts for 499.

In the one with steel inserts, they are four-sided. (I have one and like it.) In the one with carbide, the inserts are two-sided.
