Wow thanks for the link! I have always dreamed of a log cabin(Second home). Just don't think they fit in most places a first home would go.

We still live in this log home I built from scratch in 1978. I've remodeled some since this pic was taken. Here's a link to some construction photos.

Log homes are great as a first home. Here is mine. I wish I could say I built it, but I bought it used. My neighbor was a part of the construction process, so I can always ask him about it.
