I have been ask to build some sash in an older home. The walls are 12" deep. There are side hinged sash on the outside. The interior storm windows are mulled so that they are in the center of the 12" jamb. Until now the windows were not ever opened. The new owners want fresh air and would like me build sash with screen that will seasonally replace the interior sash. I am looking for creative hinging that will allow them to open the screens and then in turn open or close the outside windows. It also should be very easy to do the seasonal swap back to the existing glass sash.
