I forgot to re adjust the pressure on my compressor before using my 15 gauge nail gun . By the time I noticed that I hadn't corredtly adjusted it, I had already shot about 30 nails. The pressure was about 160. I had about a hundred feet of air hose to the gun. Does anyone think that I did any harm to my gun?

I doubt it. But I bet your nails were set nice and deep eh ? ;)

I've done that before but caught it in time and never had a problem. But then again, I never run my pressure more than about 120. Like Jack said, if the seals aren't blown you should be fine.

Thanks Jack and John. I don't believe that I blew the seals. It was working fine when I noticed what was going on. I just will have to be real careful next time. I was using someone else's compressor at the time. I have a small compressor that I use only for nail guns and never think about the pressure. It is always set to a safe level. Again, Thanks.

Oh, and by the way, those nails were set pretty low! Should have been obvious!
