I really need to avoid their "what's new" page.
I'm starting to sound like my wife: "but honey, I saved $15"

Mike,
I check that page every morning. Probably shouldn't. I really don't need more mallets but those looked sooo pretty I couldn't resist either....

I don't need more mallets. I don't need more mallets. They are awfully sexy though.
I had already trashed the catalog to avoid buying these (out of sight..) and then you bring it back up. Sigh...

Turn one.
Hmm. For that matter, I wonder if you can turn brass on a wood lathe...

The 5-pack of "losable" knives are what caught my eye in that ad. As someone who has lost several to TSA!

You sure can ... but you can't get the brass stock for that price.

I can't figure out how these are superior to holding a piece of brass in your hand.

I've had this one (http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.aspx?p=30263&cat=1,41504,43688) for 6 or 7 years, and quite enjoy using it. It's a bit more expensive than the individual units (cheaper than the pair, though) and it appears it's a bit heftier. Not as pretty, though...

Man I am a sucker for brass. Those look good.

Yeah, I'm "saving $15" too. It's really only $10 since that's the price hike. I figure it covers the shipping so I'll order some other stuff by the 28th. Mr. Lee is very sneaky.
