Recently purchased the IBox jig and plan on using it on a router table (RT1000 w/
Triton 3hp) and would appreciate some advice as to which bits to buy. I think I'm looking for upcut spiral bits, does that sound right? Manufacturer? Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

I have the IBox and use it on the router table only, never have used it on on the saw yet.

I have been using a down spiral bit from Eagle America, in fact most of my bit are Eagle bits have had very good luck with them.

Thanks for the info, can you tell me why you prefer down cut as opposed to up cut for making box joints?

Dont forget Brian Gumper sells Whiteside bits at www dot holbren dot com - they make some of the best spirals you can buy. He gives a 10% discount to woodnet members too.

RU4700 is the 1/4" spiral with 1/2" shank so I guess RD4700 would get you the down cut version.
