Stamp Mode vs. 3D Mode

On my Epilog (not sure if Universals or Trotecs have this, but I assume they must) I have two options: Stamp mode and 3D mode. When in stamp mode you can adjust the shoulder and mirror the image......but there are no options when in 3D mode.....so my question is......what is the difference between the two different modes? Isn't the 3D mode basically the same thing as the stamp mode?

No, not the same thing at all. The stamp mode is going to create that draft angle on the artwork at a calculated rate, creating a specific angle. 3D mode is just going to vary the power depending on the shade of gray.

And I believe stamp mode automatically inverts the image.
