I hit a screw with my bandsaw tonight. I need to finish this project. Any tips on what size file and procedure to use. Thanks in advance, Kevin

I have sharpened my bandsaw blade a few times ,the best result I got was with a Dremil and a cut off wheel, each time it took about 10 min.
Not hard at all,here's link:

I use a Dremel-type rotary tool with a diamond burr.

Phil, did you watch the video? Do you sharpen the same way, or do you sharpen the front side of the tooth?

For years and years I purchased better quality blades and felt compelled to re-sharpen to get my monies worth. I used a dremel with a chainsaw grinding stone. It would match the profile of the tooth and I could sharpen the inside/outside of each tooth, on or off the saw. The cutoff wheel works best sharpening the outside of the tooth. I now buy cheaper blades 4-5 at a time, when I get down to one new blade I re-order, toss the dull ones.

I only sharpen the inside side of the tooth, I don't do anything on the outside. Basically I just push the burr against the gullet. The burr's radius is slightly greater than the radius of the gullet, so the result is the burr rides against the bottom of the tooth, and the back of the gullet. I just hold it there for a second or second and a half, it doesn't take long at all.

I hold the rotary tool so the rotation of the burr cuts INTO the tooth, not OUT-OF the tooth, to avoid creating a wire edge on the tooth.

I have sharpened Woodslicer/BladeRunner blades, as well as bimetal blades. On the bimetal blade I use for resawing, I "squished" much of the set out of the teeth, then sharpened them. It cuts very fast now, and stays sharp a long time.

I squished the set using a small drill press vise I have. I squished all the set out, but the teeth spring back about half way.
