It's January, time to replace the batteries in the smoke detectors, make resolutions, and oh yea stock up on sandpaper for the shop. Looking to buy for my PC 5" random orbital sander, solid no holes. For years I have used Mirka brand without any complaints but thought I would ask you a couple of questions. What disc do you you use and why? What brand do you consider a good value to good performance ratio? Anyone have any comments about Supergrit brand? Our local St. Louis woodworking show is about a month away, does anyone know if they usually offer a good price on sandpaper? Give me your 2 C.

+1 on Mirka. I use their Gold line and have for years.

I have been using the PC brand as that is all that I could find locally. Not disappointed. I have the PC 7335 with the side handle. I swapped in a 6" disk and how I can actually hold the disk flat on the work much easier than with the 5" disk, don't know why. I also just added the dust collection kit after 18 years, not disappointed there either.
