Would anyone know the difference between the CW5000 and LW06 chiller units? Which would be the better?
thanks and regards, John

Well I can answer half of this for you :)

The LW06 might be their version of a fish tank pump and a bucket, and no I'm not kidding. The chiller you need depends on the wattage of your tube and how much you use it.

The LW series is manufactured by Sunrise and the CW series is manufactured by S&A - both are industrial chillers.

Sunrise manufacturers many types of chillers/pumps from pool heater, sea chillers etc so there products have had a tendency to run a bit pricier in my opinion.

S&A has been the primary source of the water cooled chillers for Chinese exported laser "packages"

I no longer use or recommend the CW3000, which is a thermolysis system rather than a refrigerated system. I have changed out all our chillers to the CW5000/6000 as we found, as the temp of the tube goes up the fire power or proficiency goes down as well as the wear and tear on the bulb.

When in doubt, ask the rep you are purchasing from which brand of chiller is in your priced package and is it rated for you laser tube size/watts - ask what the price differance is for the LW series and be sure it is a refrigerated series.

Hope that helps,
Vicki

Vicki, thank you for answering my question, Gweike offered me either chiller at $400. I had requested the CW5000 but then when offered the LW06 I was not sure which was the better option to choose.
Thanks and regards, John

Walt, please let us know how your laser turns out when it arrives, since I am close to ordering, I am interested to see how things go. Thanks John (if I recall correctly, you are about to receive a new Shenhui?)

CW5000 is impressively well built and reliable so far.

Thank you to all for your input, I will just stick with the tried and trusted 5000.
Kind regards, John:)

I run a LG3040 40/50 watt with a CW5000 chiller with a 40/60 Antifreeze and distilled water mixture. I keep my chiller set at 72 degrees. This chiller is the best to work with, no doubt.
