Is it really possible to have a real juicy gloat with a radial arm saw?

Anyway, here is my new, old, Bridgewood Radial Arm Saw! It looks surprisingly like a maggi 640 junior. Made in Italy, cast iron arm, a little over 24" crosscut, 14" blade, 4 hp, 3 phase. Picked it up for a couple of hundred, plus a power cord, and new blade.

It works pretty well, cuts clean, but needs to be gone through and completely aligned.

Where will it all end?

For a couple hundred dollars it is a gloat in my book. Looks to be in very good shape, too.

If I had an RAS with a 24" crosscut, I'd definitely brag about it.

You did beyond well, that caliber machine can go for near $2k used.

As a new RAS owner myself, I can say with complete bias, that that is gloat worthy. Not positive why we need them, but something satisfying about paying $.20/# for a good quality tool.

It looks like a nice saw and it's fortunate you found a non-Craftsman model for better quality control. Once you have it aligned well and if you make a longer table it will prove extremely useful in repetitive cuts and such.
