I am about to build a bookcase where the shelves are going to have a slope to them. I'd like to dado the shelves into the sides of the bookcase, but as the shelf is at an angle, I'll need to do an angled dado cut. I don't have a Dado set for my table saw, so was wondering if there were a not too complicated way to do this with a router-that I just can't seem to figure out.
In other words - should I just go get a dado set for my table saw?
Thanks in advacne for any tips on doing this.

Wedge shaped piece of wood taped to the router base?

One simple way is with a basic T-square jig for the router, but attach the leg of the T at the angle you want. You'll need both a left and a right. Clamp to the work. Run the router along the T. Be careful to make the two sides with identical angles so the shelves will line up correctly

Are you talking a dado like Jerry is showing or the dado is angled like this.

I would use a router for the Jerry example and a dado stack for the Bill example.

I agree with Glenn 100%.

I made some magazine stands like that (local library). Made one angled guide similar to what Jerry shows, but had upper and lower guides for sliding D/Ts and flipped it side to side. I made reference marks on the front edges and used a bearing mounted dovetail bit. Front edges were stopped. Six shelves each, no glue needed. Just another approach.

Bill - you got it. That is the type I am trying to do.

Then I would say it is time to get a dado set for the table saw. I think it could be done with a router and a wedge sled but I think it would be a lot harder.

I figured as much, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. thanks...
