I'm building a wall of bookcases -- think 4-5' knee wall in an upstairs room over garage. There's storage space behind the bookcase which will be conditioned space. i'd like make a section of this bookcase function as a door to the storage space. Does anyone have any plans/pointers for this?

I have built a few of these using Rixson pivots. Here Gary Katz give a good description of the process to which I can't add much more. http://www.garymkatz.com/TrimTechniques/hidden_pivot_bookcase_install.htm An animated Sketch Up (or other CAD) drawing is a most useful tool
as it lets you determine the exact clearances and pivot location needed for your situation. It is really awesome to build one of these with 1/16" clearances
and have it work perfectly and practically invisible.

And then for very very cool and pricey system - I can't wait to get someone to pay me to use one of these - consider this :) http://reversica.com/products.html
