View Full Version : Adding New (to me) 2640 Woodmaster Drum Sander to my Hobby

I am new to this Forum and hope to learn a lot from here and hopefully give back from my limited knowledge.

I located a used drum sander so I can stop borrowing my brothers shop sander.
It is a Woodmaster W-2640. Has roller feed instead of the newer wide belt feed.
The hook and loop on the drum needs replaced as well as the feed roller grit.
No luck on the Woodmaster web site or by email to them for the needed material or a manual so thought I'd ask here.

1. Where can I get a user manual / parts list for the 2640 ?
2. Pattern for cutting sand paper for the drum.
3. What to use on the feed rollers - adhesive backed - how wide - what grit ?
4. Where to get the mat for the drum for the sand paper to stick ?
5. Best place to get supplies ?

Finally I realize what I don't know to ask may be the hardest to overcome. Any words of wisdom as I bring it into my basement ?
Thanks in advance for your help !

Give them a call they are very nice to work with. I redid the drum on my 2600 when I bought it used. They have good prices on sandpaper for it also.

Thanks Brad, After not seeing the material on the web and getting no email response was wondering. I'll call them Monday after picking it up tomorrow.
