Does anyone here know how big a link belt it would take for my saw and would it make a diff. Thanks, byron

I have a Delta 28-269 14" bandsaw and recently rebuilt a second one. I'm not running a link belt but the belts were 31 - 32". I don't know if all the pulleys were the same between models, but my lower pulley = 2.2" dia, upper pulley = 4.6" dia, distance between centers = 21.3". Hope this helps.

I put one on mine and it was a few links fewer than a standard link belt package.

I'll measure it when I go down to the shop in a bit.

Depending on where you are, you can get the linked belt from HF, and they sell a 4ft or 5ft length package, which is enough for the Delta BS
(I am using that and have some left over on the shelf)
Knowing that you can disassemble the linked belt 1 link at a time, so when I put it on, didn't even think about how long it is, just to make
sure that it fit snuggy

79 links on mine.

21 1/2" OC with a 3 1/2" pulley on the bottom and a 6" pulley on top.

Some of us use a cogged v-belt. I have one on my Jet BS. It completely eliminates vibration. I have a link belt on my contractors saw. It does well, but costs about twice the cost of a cogged v-belt. You can buy them at Amazon.

I use the cogged V belt on two Deltas and see no reason to change. Both run very smooth, one for resawing, the other for anything else. YMMV. However, I have never used the link belt so I may not know what I'm missing :o.

I added a link-belt to my 14" Delta. It quieted it down and decreased vibration.

I've since replaced the belts on my jointer and drill press. No going back!!

I have one on my craftsman tablt saw and it made a world of diff. I also put machined pullys on. Going to put one on my delta .

I have the Harbor Freight one on my 14" delta clone. I think it made a difference in vibration, but it quieted it down a bit too.

I think is 43 inches circumference.
